Loved by students and staff alike, Bruce Buchanan brings knowledge, enthusiasm and joy to Combretum Trust School. As our Senior Teacher, he is an invaluable member of the team.
Combretum is a wonderful teaching environment. Combretum is a school that gives autonomy and opportunities to implement any teaching method ideal for uniqueness in our learners. Combretum is the school with a difference as it accommodates learners with different capacities and with different learning styles. My Educational Philosophy is that Learners learn well if they are taught the way they want to learn. I believe in a child-centered approach to learning where I just facilitate as the teacher.

An Earth science graduate with industrial experience in mining and mineral exploration, currently pursuing a diploma in secondary education. My mission statement is Thinking outside the box is outdated, throw the whole thing away. The integration of technology into the classroom, investing in young and innovative educators, I feel is the future of education in Namibia. CTS is a close-knit unit, everyone’s second family. It’s a place where even those who feel out of place have a place.
Hello! My name is Kudzai Emily Rukanda but known at school as Ms. Emily. I am a qualified English as a second language teacher with vast teaching experience. I hold an Honours Degree in Applied Linguistics, which specialises in the teaching of English as a second language. The school is a home where each member is accorded the same rights. My motto is “ to teach is to touch lives forever.”
